One of the things I try to do every night is to watch the Evening news. I watch CBS and Katie Couric, mainly out of long term habit. Each and every night, I see the drug ads that are at what seems to be every commercial break. I don’t remember all the names of the drugs… there are so many of them.

The thing I do recall pretty vividly are the side effects of most of the drugs. Amnesia, internal bleeding, difficulty in breathing ….even death… is mentioned over and over again in these ads. It is really very scary to me. These side effects are pretty major things to worry about in my mind. I am fortunate that I do not take any prescription meds at all. I am very happy to be able to say that. I do my best to keep it that way.

Unfortunately, I am in a minority position here. Pretty much everyone I know takes some type of medication, and a decent percentage take more than one med every day. One of the unfortunate by products of today’s tough economic times and rapid pace lifestyle is stress. Stress is here. Stress is real.

Many people do not eat well. An alarming number of people in the US are overweight and actually undernourished. People are heading towards stress, high blood pressure and high cholesterol meds if they don’t do something different in their lives.

We are big believers that there are alternatives to prescription medications to combat these afflictions. A weekly exercising regimen is a great place to start. Walking for 30 minutes a day three to five days a week is good for you and can be worked up to. Eating more fruits and vegetables and cutting back on fatty foods are easy to do if you just think about what you are buying when you go to the store. These are good things to do for sure.

What else can you do? If you have high blood pressure, high cholesterol, reduced bone mass, or are overweight, etc, etc, there are natural answers. You can address many of these affiliations and conditions by using natural nutritional supplements. If you don’t know much about natural nutritional supplements and how they can help you, you have found a good information source right here.
